Our Pricing Policy

At West Coast Funerals we operate "up to a standard not down to a price" - we do not add any questionable administration fees or undeclared 'extras'.

West Coast Funerals' policy guarantees that there will be no hidden or extra costs added to a firm quotation or pre-paid funeral.

Service Fee
This is the charge made by West Coast Funerals for their expertise, use of facilities, cost of overheads, insurance, and our professional time.
It is not generally known that approximately 40 hours of professional time is applied to ensuring our quality service. This is the time spent by ourselves and qualified staff in caring for the deceased, meeting with family, making the arrangements, organising all procedures, coordinating and conducting the multiple aspects of the funeral and ensuring legal requirements are met. Our service fee is not subsidised by inflated coffin prices.

We can provide a range of services, from budget plans to the most elaborate. This will be an individual family decision. Final cost will be determined by the family's choice of various options. Whilst many options are not essential some may be considered desirable disbursements. Our charges honestly reflect the cost of providing the level of service you expect from West Coast Funerals.

Disbursements
This refers to the goods and services provided by others, whose charges are out of our control. We do not 'mark up' the cost of these items, they are charged to you at cost only.
Disbursements include;
Cemetery fees, newspaper notices, flowers, Clergy/Celebrant/organist fees, memorial book, cards/hymn sheets, catering costs and permits or certificates as required.
Of course, should any such items be not required, no charge is made, reducing costs accordingly.
At West Coast Memorial Park we have our own crematorium, exclusively used by West Coast Funerals, providing a local economical service, further reducing costs by not requiring travel to a distant facility.
